During the Revolutionary Army's siege, Night Raid had infiltrated the royal palace and entered the throne room with the Emperor, Honest and the late Great General Budo's Imperial Guard. Compelled to use the Shikoutazer, the Emperor unleashed it and caused massive death toll and collateral damage throughout the capital all for the sake of protecting the Empire, earning Tatsumi's anger of his blinded rash actions. In the battle, the Emperor easily overwhelmed the Night Raid member in spite of wielding Incursio even with the aid of Wave who finally saw the error of the Empire's ways and fought in defense of the people.
