The Southern Lands is a country located far south of the Empire. Not much is known about this region.
History
Years ago, the Empire fought a campaign led by General Liver against the inhabitants there referred to as "the other races". It is unknown why the Empire attacked the Southern Lands, but it is presumed that they were victorious in their campaign against their revolts, due to their overwhelming force in numbers. The Ban Tribe revolt took part in this area in which generals Esdeath and Najenda were involved in. This may have been the same war Liver was leading before his imprisonment when he refused to give in to the Prime Minister's agenda that led to Bulat's defection to the Revolutionary Army.
Culture
The culture of the Southern Lands is still relatively unknown as well. It appears to be a desert-like environment.
